If you're registered for Pingit, you can make delightfully simple payments to people abroad, as well as to people in the UK – and we won't charge you any fees.

To use Pingit to send a payment in euros, you just need the name of the person you're sending money to and their International Bank Account Number (IBAN).

Send euro payments to Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Sending money

To use Pingit to send a payment in euros, you need to be 16 or over, have a UK current account and a UK-registered mobile number. Then you'll just need an International Bank Account Number (IBAN) for your recipient.

Limits and processing times

  • Send anything from £25 to £2,000. You must have the amount you're sending available in your account when you set up the payment and leave it there until the payment has left your account – which could be the next working day
  • If you send your payment before 3:00pm UK time on a UK working day, it should arrive during the next working day
  • If you send your payment after 3:00pm on a UK working day, it should take 2 working days to get there
  • If you send a payment on or before a weekend or bank holiday in the UK, or the country you're sending euros to, it'll take longer
Australian dollar

If you're registered for Pingit, you can make delightfully simple payments to people abroad, as well as to people in the UK – and international payments are fee-free.

To use Pingit to send a payment in Australian dollars, you need to be 16 or over, have a UK current account and a UK-registered mobile number.

If you want to send money to someone who's with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and has the Commbank App set up to get Pingit payments, all you'll need is their full name and Australian mobile number. They can send money to your Pingit account too.

Otherwise, you'll need to get a full name, BSB (Bank-State-Branch number), bank account number for the person you're sending money to. Pop those into your Pingit app and off you go.

Botswana pula

If you're registered for Pingit, you can make delightfully simple payments to people abroad, as well as to people in the UK – and we won't charge you a fee.

To use Pingit to send a payment in Botswana pula, you need to be 16 or over, have a UK current account and a UK-registered mobile number. Then you'll just need a phone number for the person you're sending money to. They don't need a smartphone, but they'll need to be able to get text messages and be registered with Hello Money in Botswana.

Canadian dollar

If you're registered for Pingit, you can make delightfully simple payments to people abroad, as well as to people in the UK – and we won't charge you a fee.

To use Pingit to send a payment in Canadian dollars, you need to be 16 or over, have a UK current account in GBP and a UK-registered mobile number. You'll also need to be fully registered for Pingit.

We'll ask you to enter the name of the person you're sending money to, then their address, bank account number and transit routing number. You don't need the name of their bank or SWIFT details – we'll sort all that out.

The person you're sending money to doesn't need a phone, but they must have a Canadian bank account in Canada, which is in their name and in Canadian dollars.

  • Send between £25 to £2,000 a day. You must have the amount you're sending available in your account when you set up the payment and leave it there until the payment has left your account – which could be the next working day
  • If you send your payment before 2:15pm UK time on a UK working day, it should arrive during the next working day

Danish krone

If you're registered for Pingit, you can make delightfully simple payments to people abroad, as well as to people in the UK – and we won't charge you a fee.

To use Pingit to send a payment in Danish krone, you need to be 16 or over, have a UK current account in GBP and a UK-registered mobile number. You'll also need to be fully registered for Pingit.

We'll ask you to enter the name of the person you're sending money to and their International Bank Account Number (IBAN). You don't need the name of their bank or SWIFT details – we'll sort all that out.

The person you're sending money to doesn't need a phone, but they must have a bank account in Denmark, Greenland or the Faroe Islands that's in their name and in Danish krone.

Ghana cedi

Then you'll just need a phone number for the person you're sending money to. To use Pingit to send a payment in Indian rupees, you need to be 16 or over, have a UK current account and a UK-registered mobile number. You'll also need to be fully registered for Pingit.

We'll ask you to enter the bank account number and IFSC for the person you're sending money to. Then we'll ask you why you're sending the money. We're not being nosy – the Reserve Bank of India needs us to give this information so that the payment can go through.

To use Pingit to send a payment in Kenyan shillings, you need to be 16 or over, have a UK current account and a UK-registered mobile number. Then you'll just need a phone number for the person you're sending money to. If you're registered for Pingit, you can make delightfully simple payments to people abroad, as well as to people in the UK – and international payments are even fee-free.

To use Pingit to send a payment in Mauritian rupees, you need to be 16 or over, have a UK current account and a UK-registered mobile number.

You can send rupees to any Barclays account holder in Mauritius who's registered for Online Banking. They'll need to have logged into Online Banking and have signed up to get Pingit international payments.

You'll need a Mauritian phone number (starting +230) for the person you're sending money to. They don't need a smartphone, but they'll need to be able to get text messages.

The person you're sending money to doesn't need a phone, but they must have a bank account in Norway that's in their name and in Norwegian krone.

We'll ask you to enter the name of the person you're sending money to and their International Bank Account Number (IBAN). You don't need the name of their bank or SWIFT details – we'll sort all that out.

The person you're sending money to doesn't need a phone, but they must have a bank account in Poland that's in their name and in Polish zloty.
