1.1Pingit.me is provided by Barclays Bank UK PLC (Barclays/We/Us/Our). It lets you use a UK debit card to send money to someone who has sent you a Pingit.me link and you don't need to have a Pingit account to use it.

1.2Start by making sure you know the person who sent you the link – the page will give you their name and partial postcode. We can't accept responsibility if you pay the wrong person or make a payment to a fraudulently created Pingit.me page.

1.3To make the payment, just open the link and follow the instructions. You'll be asked to enter your debit card details and home address so that we can check that you're the cardholder, then the amount you want to send. Pingit.me will never ask you for your debit card PIN number or any passwords. Help us prevent them from doing this by sending any link you get that asks for this information to internetsecurity@barclays.co.uk.

1.4Once the payment has been sent, you'll get an email and the person you're sending money to will get a notification when they get the payment. Usually your payment will get to the person you're paying pretty much straight away, but could take up to 2 hours.

1.5Pingit.me is a free service.

1.6Sometimes Pingit.me pages get deactivated. You can only use a Pingit.me link to make a payment if the page you're using to pay someone is active.
