Terms and Conditions for Pingit Giving
1.Pingit Giving is a service provided by Barclays Bank UK PLC (Barclays/We/Us/Our). It lets you use your Pingit account and/or a UK debit card to send money to a registered charity selected by the person who has sent you a Pingit Giving link. You don't need to have a Pingit account to donate.
2.Start by making sure you know the person who sent you the link – the page will give you their name and the details of the registered charity to which you are donating. We can't accept responsibility if you pay the incorrect charity, pay a charity via a link sent from somebody you do not know or make a payment to a fraudulent site purporting to be a Pingit Giving page.
3.To make the payment, just open the link and follow the instructions. If you are donating via debit card you'll be asked to enter your debit card details and home address so that we can check that you're the cardholder. We will never ask you for your debit card PIN number or any passwords. Help us prevent others from doing this by sending any link you get that asks for this information to email@example.com. 4.Once the payment has been sent, you'll get an email (or an in-app notification if you donate via a Pingit account) and the person who sent you the Pingit Giving link will get a notification (if they have opted to do so) showing that a donation has been made. Usually your payment will get to the charity within 7 days from the date we receive your donation. All funds raised for the chosen charity will be used for its charitable purposes in accordance with the charity’s own governing document, rules and guidelines. We cannot guarantee that funds will be used for a particular purpose.
5.Sometimes Pingit Giving pages get deactivated. You can only use a Pingit Giving link to make a payment if the page you're using to pay a charity is active.
6.You can find out more information about any charity listed in the Pingit Giving page (including the charity's registration details) by visiting the charity's website or the relevant charities regulator (but please note that we are not responsible for the content of any third party websites).

9.Charities will receive 100% of the gross amount of every donation made through Pingit Giving.
10.Gift Aid - We appoint Charities Trust whose registered office is at Suite 20-22, Century Building, Brunswick Business Park, Tower Street, Liverpool, L34BJ (charity number 327489 and company number 2142757) to act as Gift Aid intermediary.
11.Charities Trust will process Gift Aid declarations in respect of donations made through Pingit Giving with HMRC and will assist in sending funds to the chosen charity. Any interest accrued on donations made through Pingit Giving and held in a Charities Trust bank account will be retained by Charities Trust and used to improve the services that Charities Trust provides.
12.When you ask us to make a payment to a charity using Pingit Giving, we may ask if you want to add Gift Aid to your donation through accepting a Gift Aid declaration. If you accept this declaration, you are giving your consent for us to send to Charities Trust certain personal information we hold about you, including your name, address, mobile number or email address. We will share this information with Charities Trust on the basis they will only use it to collect the Gift Aid payment and subject to the requirements of data protection laws. By accepting the Gift Aid declaration, you are confirming that if you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax in the current year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all donations and it will be your responsibility to pay any difference to HMRC. Please ensure you read the Gift Aid declaration in full when making any donations through Pingit Giving.
13.Pingit want to hear from you if you feel unhappy about the service you have received from Pingit or Charities Trust. Please contact us using the details on the Website and give us the opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter. This also helps improve our service for all customers. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pingit may monitor or record calls to maintain high levels of security and quality of service. If you have a complaint relating to the charity, please contact them directly.
14.Once a donation is made through Pingit Giving it is usually non-refundable unless it was made fraudulently, in which case please contact your card operator in accordance with their fraud reporting procedures. If you are a Pingit or Barclays customer, you must contact us immediately by calling 0800 400 100.
15.In the event you make a donation in error, please contact Charities Trust directly within 5 days from the date of donation to request a refund. Charities Trust may at its absolute discretion agree to refund you if the funds have not been passed to the chosen charity. Where this occurs Charities Trust will request additional information and an administration fee payable by you to Charities Trust.
16.For all other refund requests, you may contact the chosen charity directly and request a refund. It will be at that charity’s full discretion to provide a refund.
17.In the event that we are unable to send donations to the chosen charity due to legal or regulatory reasons or in the event that we are unable to do so after making reasonable attempts, we will provide you with a refund without undue delay and in any event within 14 days beginning on the day on which we agree you are entitled to a refund.
